Awards & Gala Events

  • We have been selected to manage since inception, the Ubuntu Awards and Ubuntu in Action Program of the National Heritage Council.  The Ubuntu Award, which is expected to grow in stature to the level of the Nobel Peace Prize and the Ghandi Award, seeks to honour individuals whose character, leadership, philosophy and life's work are an asset and embodiment of the universal values of Ubuntu, our common humanity. Previous recipients of the Ubuntu Award include former South African President Nelson Mandela; former Zambian President Kenneth Kaunda and former Cuban President Fidel Castro and Boutros Boutros-Ghali, the first African UN Secretary General. These events are held at venues of national heritage value, most of which have no services such as the confluence of the Limpopo & Shase River, Mapungubwe National Park (2008); and the birth place of AbaThembu King Sabata Dalindyebo, Bumbane Great Place, Eastern Cape.
  • National Zoological Gardens of South Africa (Pretoria Zoo)  - Managed the Zoovaganza Gala Dinner, the Official Fundraising event for the National Zoological Gardens of SA for two consecutive years. The project included Conceptualisation, Fundraising, Project Management and PR Media.
  • Project Management of the largest exhibition in Tensile1 for the National Zoological Gardens of SA at the WSSD 2002. Our assignment included conceptualisation, project management and media negotiation and sponsorship. The Project was endorsed by the Department of Education and the Department of Arts and Culture. Community Growth Fund (CGF) – We were responsible for the conceptualisation and Events management of the inaugural CGF SRI Awards.  The awards are motivated by the need to honour socially responsible companies. The event look and feel was carried across from the ‘save the date’ notice, followed by the electronic invitation ending with the post event thank you message. The Awards Event was self funding consisting of a Gold, Silver and Bronze Sponsorship Package as well as Table Sales to Stakeholders and Corporates. The Event  achieved a profit of R700 000 after all costs.
