Litha Communications Launches ANCYL Networking Business Lounge
Logistical preparations are in place for the long awaited, 24th National Congress of the ANCYL, scheduled for the 16th to 20th June 2011 at Gallagher Estate.
This is without doubt, the most significant congress of any of the components of the ANC, leading to ANC’s own elective congress in 2012. This is largely due to the fact that since the unbanning of the ANC, the candidate that wins the Presidency, has, without exception, been the one backed by the ANCYL, not to mention the ANCYL’s rallying call for this congress: “ Economic Freedom in Our Lifetime”, which include:
- Expropriation without compensation for equitable redistribution
- Nationalisation for Industrialisation
- Inclusive and Decentralised Economic Growth and Development
- Land Restitution and agrarian reform
- Building of a Strong Developmental State and Public Service
- Massive investment in the development of the African Economy
- Provision of education, skills and expertise to the people
Commenting on this assignment, Andile Ncontsa, CEO Litha Communications says: “The ANCYL have asked us to assist them to conceptualise means and ways by which non-delegates, especially the business community, can get involved, and hear first hand, the youth league deliberations as they set course to redefine the current phase of our struggle as economic freedom”. It is an earnest attempt on their part, to enable non-delegates, to listen, share ideas among themselves, and network in an ambient environment that invokes the spirit of the Youth League Founders, such as such as Anton Lembede, Oliver Tambo, Nelson Mandela, and Walter Sisulu.
