It consists of experienced consultants, brand specialists, event architects and logistic experts. We operate using the best people from within and from outside in each assignment.
The Litha teams’ commitment to excellence has taken them from being involved in large scale consulting projects such as the R3.2 Billion Katorus Special Presidential Project, the IDT’s R850 million Capital Subsidy Programme, managing Old Mutual’s corporate social investment and group stakeholder relations, and brand building consultancy for UNESCO – World Heritage for the establishment of the Arab Region World Heritage Centre in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Litha has also undertaken large scale concept development and project management of the largest human made exhibition: Tensile 1 at the World Summit on Sustainable Development, the Department of Arts and Culture’s 50th celebration of the 1956 Women’s Match , fundraising for the construction of the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island on the V&A Waterfront and managing public relations, events, seminars conferences and brand experiences for clients such as the National Heritage Council, Constitution Hill, the Department of Science and Technology, the African World Heritage Fund, the Western Cape Provincial Government, the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism, NBI, THETA, South African Breweries, Tigerbrands and Old Mutual.

Andile Ncontsa – Chief Executive Officer (Shareholder)
Andile is a BCom (Wits) graduate and an Alumnus of the University of Cambridge’s Business & the Environment Programme.
On completion of his tertiary education he joined Shell Oil, and later the Rembrandt Group in sales and marketing. This was followed by 10 years of consulting, project and programme management in community development and urban renewal (R850 Million IDT Capital Subsidy Scheme and R3.2 Billion Katorus Special Presidential Project); Black Economic Empowerment as Chief Operating Officer of a R100 Million of private equity fund, Equity Africa; and as Lead Senior Consultant of a black owned and managed consulting firm with a focus in the Energy, Postal Services, and Local Government with service offerings in Change Management; Shared Services, Business Process Re-engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Strategic Sourcing; Organisation Design, Diagnostics, Leadership Development, Strategic Facilitation and Process Improvement. In this role, he took full responsibility as Lead: Centre of Excellence in Local Government - designing and delivering innovative business solutions for major municipalities.
Andile has created numerous blueprints in what is now referred to as BBBEE. He is a published writer on socio-economic issues and reform of the CSI Sector in South Africa. He has been invited as a key note speaker and panellist in all major CSI and Sustainability Conference in the last two years. He has received numerous awards, the most prestigious being the one from President Nelson Mandela for “Outstanding commitment and dedication in helping to achieve a better quality of life for the people of Katorus”. In addition to his overall responsibility for the company, he heads our consulting service offering in corporate social investment, stakeholder management, social marketing, sustainability and thought leadership.
Before this current role as CEO of Litha Communications, he was Head Group Stakeholder Relations and later CEO of the Old Mutual Foundation. Andile is an accomplished public speaker and published writer, commentator and analyst on socio-economic issues and sustainability issues.
As part of his social contribution, he was the Deputy Chairperson of the National Zoological Gardens of South Africa for 10 years where among other things he was part of delegations that negotiated the South Africa bilateral relations in conservation with Malaysia, and Nigeria. He is the Chairman of Operation HOPE in South Africa (a financial literacy & silver rights non-profit organization), Director of Waste2Wow and Trustee of Space2Say.

Teresa Jenkins – Chief Operating Officer (Shareholder)
Teresa started her working career in finance and made a career change 17 years ago by entering the marketing world. Her experience as a marketing and communications executive has laid a solid basis to Litha’s understanding of the changing face of the South African Consumer.
Her negotiation skills and tenacity has enabled her to broker and leverage major corporate media deals, public relations and sponsorship for among others, Robben Island, Standard Bank, Tiger Brands, SABMiller, Park Hyatt and other leading organisations within the Heritage Sector.
Her acute bias towards communications and Business Development has stood her clients in good stead. Teresa is a Director of various national government projects involved in communication and social cohesion. Recently, she lead the Litha Team on an international marketing and communications assignment to the Kingdom of Bahrain as Lead Strategist in the development of marketing campaign to position Bahrain as the seat of the Arab Heritage Fund and to prepare for the hosting of the UNESCO Congress in that country. Before that, she was involved with communication aspects of the establishment of the African World Heritage Fund. Teresa is a PRISA accredited Public Relations Practitioner.

Beaulah du Toit – Creative & Operations Director (Shareholder)
Beaulah started her working career in the SABC, after completing her studies in design and production. She left the SABC for an opportunity to enter the International Arena in project development, design and event architecture.
During the late eighties and nineties, she was instrumental in developing tanning and design skills of workers in the Fashion Industry in India and transferring these skills to South Africa. She was the driving force in exporting animal hides from South Africa (the first private exporter to succeed in this field which was restricted by strict government policy), transferring the tanning skills in Pakistan to South Africans and re-importing the finished garments.
Her unique understanding of the South African consumer, together with her creative skills has earned her great accolades from multinational companies and SA corporate alike. Among her industry accolades, was a “true-to-scale exhibition” of Robben Island” - depicting the environmental, recent history and tourism facets of the Island at the Rand Easter Show. The exhibition won a Silver Award, adjudicated according to International Exhibition Standards. As the Project Director for Litha client, SA Breweries, she has conducted on-the-ground product activation activities through a Stokvels database of more than 10 000 members (70% female) in across the country. Her experience and intrinsic understanding of international brands has seen her take Litha to international heights in the heritage space.
Combining her own international travel, lifestyle trend spotting, her understanding and passion for South Africa’s unique tourism destinations, she has been instrumental in the establishment of Litha’s Destination Marketing Service Offering.
She is an internationally recognised conference specialist belonging to various international professional organisations, such as CMP and Saaci.

Sydney Mokomo (BA Social Science - Wits University) – Research and Special Programs.
Sydney served an internship at Department of Arts and Culture and the National Heritage Council, where he was solidly grounded in research, database management and project management. He joined Litha in 2007 as Senior Researcher and Special Programs Manager.
Nonhlanhla Zungu
( BA Media & Writing – University of Cape Town) – Content Manager.
Nonhlanhla served her internship at the Sowetan’s Marketing and news Desk Departments. She started work as a Publishing Assistant at Kusile-e-Education. She is responsible for developing marketing material, conceptualising briefs for outsourced services, liaising with media and advertising.
Evelyn Wolmarans Project Office.
Evelyn has many years of experience in administration and computer programmes. She heads up our Project Office which is responsible for updating databases, collating information on delegates and speakers, invitations and RSVP’s management.
Thabane Khumalo (Diploma Music - Ricki Mick School of Music) – Events Production Manager.
Thabane is a music production major, including Sound Engineering, Voice projection, Song writing, Advertising and Marketing. He started his working career as an Artist Coordinator at Adele Lucas Promotions and moved to Inspirational Ideas Productions as Sound Engineer and Label Manager. He is responsible for managing technical aspects of Litha Events.
Michelle du Toit
(Marketing Diploma, Wits Technikon) – Office Manager.
Michelle entered the marketing and communication field in 1996 and spent many years in marketing and communications for SA companies working into Africa. Her tenure at a major Design and Export Furniture Company saw her leading various projects to Nigeria, London and Dubai as Project Manager.
